From whip-filled woodland laps to raw, free-flowing edits that ooze personality, Josh Lewis—aka Loose Dog of 50to01—has become one of the most recognizable figures in the freeride and creative MTB scenes.
Now, in 2025, we’re proud to welcome him to the Hayes family, with Josh choosing to run Hayes Dominion A4 brakes on his latest and boldest project yet: a full-suspension bike of his own design, tailored specifically to his riding style.

A Rider Who Redefines Style
Loose Dog has always been about more than just speed or podiums—he’s about feeling. About style. About finding rhythm on the trail and expressing personality through movement. From tech jibs to flowy freeride and one-footed flat spins in the woods, Josh rides like no one else—and his bike setup reflects that individuality.

A Bike of His Own Making
In true Loose Dog fashion, Josh recently went beyond tweaking his ride—he built his own bike from scratch. This isn’t a rebadged prototype or some off-the-shelf frame with a cool paint job. It’s a hand-built, full-suspension creation designed from the ground up to suit his unique approach to terrain, tricking, and trail play.
From kinematics to tubing, every angle and line of the bike reflects Josh’s hands-on ethos and vision for how a bike should feel under pressure, in the air, or drifting through rooty corners. This is the ultimate expression of creative riding—a machine born from imagination and put through the paces by one of the sport’s most expressive riders.

Dominion Performance, Loose Style
To match the precision and control he demands, Josh has opted for the Hayes Dominion A4 brakes—the same proven, four-piston stoppers trusted by elite downhill racers and freeride legends alike. With featherlight lever feel, class-leading modulation, and fade-free power, Dominion brakes give Josh the freedom to ride loose while staying in control—no matter how wild the trail gets.
Whether he’s threading the needle through dense UK woods, building tech lines in the backcountry, or linking up playful lines with the 50to01 crew, Josh’s riding demands brakes that can keep up with the creativity—and that’s exactly what Dominion delivers.

Welcome to the Family, Josh
We’re stoked to have Loose Dog on Hayes and even more excited to support a rider who continually pushes the boundaries of what mountain biking can be. With Dominion brakes backing up every drift, manual, and hip transfer, we can’t wait to see where Josh takes his riding—and his custom creation—next.
